Welcome/Croeso to Beckfoot Pottery
I'm Rachel, an NHS GP, wife, mum of three young boys and potter.
I found myself needing a creative outlet to help unwind and recharge from my busy, stressful life.
I attended a pottery course and fell in love with the process! I bought a wheel, and eventually a kiln and have spent the last few years escaping to my home pottery studio as often as possible. I love to throw on the wheel, tolerate trimming and turning, and get the biggest enjoyment from the glazing and firing process.
Oringinally from Ruthin in North Wales, I now call Cowling, North Yorkshire my home and the beautiful countryside scenery found at both places inspires a lot of my work. I love to create pieces that give others joy.
As a small batch potter, I hand-make every piece with care and attention. Each creation is unique, and reflect the joy and tranquility I find in the process.
Please understand that due to the handmade nature of my work, each piece will have slight variations.
I’m currently focusing on creating new collections and am not taking on custom commissions at this time.
However, if you’ve seen something marked as SOLD that you love, I’d be happy to recreate it for you.
